You can invite other people to have access to your account. You control how much access they have and can change this at any time. We recommend that you have at least one other person with full administrative rights to your account as a backup. For more information, see Users & Roles.
We issue payments approximately 90 days after the end of the month in which the revenue event occurred.
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) This is our default payment method. When converting local royalty earnings to a different currency for an EFT payment, the amount to be paid after conversion must meet the minimum amount allowed by your selected bank. This amount varies by institution and location. When the minimum amount is reached, you will be paid electronically for the full accrued amount.
Wire Transfer If Electronic Funds Transfer isn't available for your location, you will receive payment by wire transfer. Amazon may withhold payment until you have reached a minimum threshold in accrued license fees for the applicable local marketplace.
Wire transfer payments will be dispersed after they reach the minimum applicable threshold by marketplace.
You will not receive a wire transfer payment for any amounts below these thresholds.
When converting local royalty earnings to a different currency or withholding any applicable tax, the amount to be paid after conversion/withholding must meet the above requirements.
Customers pay in their local currencies, but we pay your royalties in the default currency of your bank account’s location (except Brazil). Please note payments into Brazilian bank accounts will be made in marketplace currency (e.g., USD from the US or Euro from DE) via wire, not in BRL.
Content providers receive 50% of net revenue. If you offer a season for purchase, customers who have purchased one or more episodes may be able to purchase the season for a discounted price. The season price is reduced by the amount the customer has already spent on previous episodes. You will receive 50% of net revenue for the episode and season purchases.
Included with Prime
Royalties for Prime Subscription Access (Included with Prime) will be paid according to the rate card outlined in your Digital Video License Agreement. Refer to your rate card for a list of rates by territory. In select territories, your Customer Engagement Ranking (CER) will determine the rate at which your title is compensated. The CER is a percentile ranking of a title’s level of engagement with Prime customers in relation to other Included with Prime (SVOD) titles published via Prime Video Direct in a territory. For more information, see Customer Engagement Ranking. Titles published in all other territories will earn a fixed royalty rate per hour. Prime Video Direct account holders can preview the rate card through the banner on your Dashboard. If you don't have an account, sign up for Prime Video Direct.
Titles will earn royalties at a specified rate for the hours streamed in each territory. Hours will begin accruing when the title is streamed for the first time. Please refer to your Digital Video License Agreement (Section 7.2) for how Hours Viewed is calculated.
When your account is closed, titles can no longer be published to Prime Video. Additionally, there will be no access to your account's reports and royalty information. Published titles will not be deleted on Prime Video servers, but they will no longer be available to rent or buy. Customers who have purchased a title will continue to have access.
Note: We're unable to access, provide, or download the files submitted in your account.
Any published titles must be unpublished. Unpublishing will prevent customers from renting or buying the title. Additionally, if offered through Prime, it will no longer be available for Prime members. The title remains on Prime Video for customers who have already purchased it.
Go to Your Videos and click on the title you want to unpublish.
On the Availability tab, under Where should this title be available, select None.
Click Save and then click Publish.
Repeat steps 1–4 for each published title. Allow three business days for the changes to apply.
Additional restrictions apply if you have published a Channel, including a minimum of 200 standalone titles or 50 seasons and a minimum availability of 18 months.
Save reports and royalty information
Streaming reports and estimated revenue details are available on your Dashboard within five days after title activity.
Go to the Dashboard to save copies of this information for your account. After your account is closed, you will no longer have access to these reports. Royalties will be paid as normal per the payment schedule.
Restoring a closed account
In some situations, we can restore a closed account. Contact Amazon Customer Service for assistance. Note: If we closed the account due to content policy guidelines violations or any other malicious activity reasons, the account can’t be restored.
